JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

One of our family therapists will soon go on parental leave, and we are therefore looking for a substitute who wants to become part of our dedicated team. The substitute position is for 13 months with a possibility of extension.

You will be part of an experienced team consisting of seven therapists, a family assistant, and a development leader. Together, we work with preventive measures and offer various forms of support to children, young people, adults, and families.

As a therapist in our outpatient care, you will provide counseling to individuals and families, both in their homes and in the organization's premises.

Your responsibilities include providing support through interventions both as a service to citizens and as assistance from social services. The work involves close collaboration both internally and with external actors in the field. We strive to work based on evidence-based methods and approaches.

The assignments are guided by the needs of the families, and therefore we wish that you have solid knowledge of the social services' mission and preferably broad experience in social work. As a therapist with us, you have significant responsibility for your cases. You need to be able to work independently and establish good cooperation with children, parents, colleagues, and partners.

You need to have good knowledge of social documentation with a solid understanding of how to work with implementation plans.

The outpatient and preventive unit of social services is a unit that belongs to the Department of Work and Welfare. In the department, there are social services for individuals and families, labor market activities, and adult education.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education focused on social pedagogy, behavioral science, social work, or equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. It is an advantage if you have further training in areas such as KIBB, Trappan, or basic psychotherapy training equivalent to step 1. You have experience in treatment in municipal outpatient care.

In the role of therapist, you should be confident in your professional role and able to meet people in need of social services support in a clear and trustworthy manner. We place great importance on how we meet the individuals seeking support from us, therefore personal suitability is of great significance.

As a person, you are used to taking responsibility for your workday, planning, and completing your tasks. The work is varied and places high demands on competence and flexibility. You are independent, have good collaboration skills, and are interested in personal and professional development. We are looking for someone who wants to take on the challenge and be part of our continued progress.

We mainly work during the day, but sometimes we may need to be on-site early in the morning or later in the evening.

The tasks require that you have good skills in expressing yourself in writing and speech.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for employment.

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment will be made based on the needs of the organization.
